Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized in New York City after his rape conviction was overturned. According to his attorney, the disgrace producer was admitted to Bellevue Hospital for tests and appears to require significant physical assistance. Weinstein has a history of health issues, including high blood pressure and heart problems. A spokesperson stated that the trip from one facility to another triggered these health problems.
The New York Court of Appeals ruled last week in a 4-3 decision that the judge in Weinstein’s trial showed bias by allowing testimony about uncharged crimes. As a result, a new trial has been ordered. While Weinstein remains imprisoned for a 2022 rape conviction in Los Angeles, he was acquitted on charges involving one of the women who testified in his New York case.
